Morita Sporting’s Japanese midfielder highlighted in the quarter-finals of the competition 2024
Hidemasa Morita, Sporting midfielder, opened the scoring this Saturday in the Iran-Japan quarter-final match of the Asian Cup and caught the eye after celebrating with the ‘famous’ mask of Viktor Gyökeres, the Lions forward.
In the 28th minute, the Japanese midfielder headed towards the opponent’s penalty area and, with some luck in the mix, beat Alireza Beiranvand, the former Boavista goalkeeper. During the celebration, he did not forget the promise he made on social media: “From now on, this will be my celebration”, wrote Morita before the start of the Asian Cup, in the caption of a photograph where he appears to ‘imitate’ his teammate
